Is It Fall Yet?

Yesterday I wrote about the HOT summer vacation we took recently to Georgia. I saw someone's IG post yesterday saying they were ready for pumpkins and lattes. I am right there with them. I don't drink coffee, but I love everything else about the fall. In yesterday's blog about traveling to Georgia, I mentioned that my son, Myers, is a great little traveler. Last summer, I got A LOT of anxiety about taking him on his first international trip, but he did SO WELL, that I took him on a Momma and Mini Me trip to New York State and Connecticut last fall. This was the best little fall trip and for it being just the two of us, was so easy! We flew from Charleston to Westchester, NY. Super simple flight. I checked his carseat, and our luggage, gate checked the stroller, and took my carryon with my fav freezer bag full of perishable snacks (Myers eats a ton of fruit-it's really the one thing I know I can get in him). A Lil Road Trip

Life has been busy...isn't it always? I sort of backed off writing because so much was going on in life, but as those of you who know me know, I love writing. I also love traveling. That should come as no surprise to the majority of you.  Last year, I took my then 4 year old and my husband to Ireland, one of my favorite places. We had the most incredible time. Maybe, if I have time, I'll come back and share why that trip was so special.  This year, our finances were a bit tighter. We wanted to do something grand (I was planning Norway, then France, then Rhode Island) and we landed on Atlanta. Don't laugh...or do. 😂 It wasn't the vacation I was dreaming of, but it did the trick to give us the summer vacation vibes we needed.  We do home exchanges often to save on hotel costs. We also like the idea of having a kitchen, a playroom, etc. Myers feels at home in these places and we have done a few since he was born. This year, we found a 5000 sq. foot home in Alpharetta tha...
